Deren FC is a professional football club based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The club was founded in 2008 and currently plays in the Mongolian Premier League, making their debut appearance in the 2015 season.[1]
The club was originally established as a youth academy. The decision to participate in the professional competition of the higher leagues was made to provide the youth players with the opportunity to play at the highest national level as seniors and to have a chance to represent the Mongolian national team.
This local focus has been maintained to this day and has earned the club the reputation of being "The Nationals' Team" ("Монголын баг").
In this regard, Deren FC stands in contrast to most other Mongolian teams, which primarily rely on foreign players as their foundation and supplement them with local talent.[2]

Stadium
[edit]The club currently plays its home matches at the MFF Football Centre in Ulaanbaatar. The stadium, which opened in 2006, was renovated in 2013 by Deren FC's parent company, Deren Naran LLC, in collaboration with a Dutch partner, and now has a capacity of 5,000 spectators.[3]
Special Features
[edit]Deren FC is the only football club in Mongolia that owns its own football infrastructure and, thanks to its club-owned Airdome, can independently conduct both summer and winter training.
Additionally, the club is currently building a sports hotel with training facilities next to the full-size Airdome (114 x 82 x 29 meters) funded by FIFA and managed by the Mongolian Football Federation in Aimag Töv, about 40 kilometers outside of Ulaanbaatar.[4] This makes Deren FC the only club in Mongolia that can independently offer and organize accommodation and training camps for foreign football teams. The new sports facility is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
