The Transjakarta Corridor 4 is a bus rapid transit corridor in Jakarta, Indonesia, operated by Transjakarta. It serves the route from the Pulo Gadung Bus Terminal to the Galunggung BRT station in Dukuh Atas TOD. The roads that passed by Corridor 4 are Bekasi Raya, Pemuda, Pramuka, Tambak, Sultan Agung, and Galunggung; currently buses are temporarily rerouted to Matraman Raya (runs through corridor 5), Slamet Riyadi, Manggarai Utara 1 and 2 streets, as traffic at Tambak street is affected by the ongoing Jakarta LRT construction.[1] This route is integrated with the KAI Commuter Cikarang Loop Line at Sudirman Station via Galunggung BRT station, and Manggarai Station which also serves the Bogor Line, Cikarang Loop Line, and the Airport Rail Link routes via the Manggarai BRT station. KRL Commuterline users who want to go to Rawamangun and Pulo Gadung can alight at Sudirman Station and continue their trip from Galunggung, Manggarai, or Pasar Genjing BRT stations. This corridor has been integrated with the Jakarta LRT at the Velodrome LRT station via the Pemuda Rawamangun BRT station.
History
[edit]The trial run of Corridor 4, 5, 6, and 7 were conducted in December 2006,[2][3] and all the routes were inaugurated on January 27, 2007 by the Governor of Jakarta at the time, Sutiyoso.[4]
From January 16, 2020 to May 19, 2023, Corridor 4 was temporarily extended to the Tosari BRT station on Corridor 1, due to the Galunggung BRT station moved its service into a temporary building as the impact of the Dukuh Atas LRT Station construction.[5] After the LRT station construction completed, Corridor 4 has returned to its original terminus,of Dukuh Atas 2 (now Galunggung) on May 20, 2023.[6]
Temporary readjusment
[edit]Starting from October 8, 2024, the Flyover Pramuka–Manggarai section from both direction, which originally passed through Tambak street, is temporarily rerouted via Matraman Raya, Slamet Riyadi, Manggarai Utara 1 and 2 streets, citing the Jakarta LRT phase 1B construction at Tambak. As the temporarily-adjusted route adjacent with corridor 5 at Matraman Raya, Tegalan and Kesatrian BRT stations of corridor 5 also started to serve westbound corridor 4 buses to Galunggung only.[1]

[edit]- Due to the construction of the Jakarta LRT at Tambak street, corridor 4 is currently temporarily rerouted to Matraman Raya (runs through corridor 5), Slamet Riyadi, Manggarai Utara 1 and 2 streets since October 8, 2024. Corridor 4 is also temporarily serving Tegalan and Kesatrian BRT stations of corridor 5 for westbound buses only.[1]
- Currently, all stations (except Velodrome, Kayu Jati and Rawamangun) are served by buses 24 hours a day.[1][7] The three stations only open until 22:00, as the AMARI night corridor M4 is currently being temporarily rerouted via Kayu Manis, Perintis Kemerdekaan and Jend. Ahmad Yani street since October 8, 2024.[1]
