The Pantheon is a mythical creature. It appears to have been invented by the heralds of the Tudor period. During that period it was used in a number of grants of arms.[1]

The Pantheon was a star-spangled hind (a female red deer), usually black or dark blue in colour, although sometimes red.

Pantheons appear in the arms of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. [2] The arms were granted in 1955.[3]
