I'm a new user and need help

In order to improve the Wikipedia encyclopedia, I have come across this draft. I have made changes to improve the article. But now I would like some advice from you as the person who drafted the article. The user who tagged the article was blocked and I could not ask him. One of the article tags is the sources that are closely related to the topic. I do not know exactly which sources are meant. hi thanks for your message. In order to be accepted the article needs to meet the standard set out in WP:CREATIVE. I’m not sure that the subject does in fact meet this standard. The sources in the article seem to be interviews, promotional press pieces and items that cover non notable awards. Mccapra (talk) 10:25, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your answer. But I did not understand what you mean. Do you mean that I shouldn't spend time on this article because it doesn't meet the notability? Or check the sources and remove the sources that are interviews and promotional press pieces. May I ask you to show me the sources that are promotional press pieces in the draft? one of them is enough.I want to understand your meaning correctly. Well from what I can see it seems unlikely the subject is notable. He runs a magazine and has authored some books but hundreds of thousands of people have done similar and aren’t considered notable for Wikipedia purposes. To establish his notability as an author we would need at least two in-depth independent critical reviews, not interviews with him, author profiles or recycled press releases. If you can’t readily find those then I think it would be better for you to spend your time on another article instead. Mccapra (talk) 13:59, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It means a lot to me as a Jew who is also a musician with a particular interest in J.S.   • @FlyingScotsman72: Thanks very much. I learned about her on a recent trip to Leipzig where I visited Mendelssohn’s house. I was fascinated by Sara Levy and her family and I am going to order a copy of the book about her that I cited in the bibliography. Living parameter in Wikiproject Biography

Hey, I noticed that a few of your articles about Missourian politicians showed up in Category:Biography articles without living parameter. There's a user script called User:Evad37/rater that semi-automates the addition of the "living" parameter. P.S. Please note that I am the previous assistant to Mr. Ornstein, but I am assisting him with fixing the current Wiki issues. I was the one that initially created the page, and I do not believe that it has been updated since then (I worked with Mr. Ornstein from 2005 - 2021).     I only became aware of the deletion today. I no longer work with Mr. Onrstein, but I am helping him with this matter. I only mention this because I need to do some research and put together all of the information. I have a copy of the original page that was deleted from the Wayback Machine.
    I think the best way to proceed is to put it all together, links, etc and then revert back to this thread. Is that okay? Also, if there is anything additional that you think I should keep in mind when compiling the data let me know. Otherwise, I will go through the information on Wikipedia and follow the guidelines.     @Hlbrooks I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "revert back to this thread". What you can do if you want to recreate the article is make a draft at Draft:Joël André Ornstein and work there - but I wouldn't recommend doing that. Better would be to gather some good sources that you think were overlooked in the discussion before you start any kind of rewriting, since if it turns out that the deletion discussion was correct and there are no further useful sources, I don't want you to have wasted your time trying to rewrite the article. -- asilvering (talk) 20:28, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    I have recreated the page in Draft mode, as the previous version was quite outdated. Given that I haven’t worked with Wiki in over ten years, I wanted to take this opportunity to learn and reacquaint myself with the procedures. It was fun, though I found myself a bit confused regarding the distinction between References and External Links. I believe I may need to add more items to the References section. Could you please take a look at what I've created and let me know if I'm on the right track? I would appreciate any guidance on what else I might need to include to get the page reinstated.     Additionally, I encountered an issue while trying to upload an image and a PDF for the bio, receiving the error message below. I would like to resolve this so I can continue contributing to Wiki in the future, as I really enjoyed the process :)

    This decision was reached because by far most attempted uploads of PDFs by new users turned out to be either copyright violations or out of scope. If you were not the original file designer or photographer, that original creator may need to provide an appropriate license on their official website or public-facing social media, or may send the file and permission via VRT with a carbon copy to you.
    If you cannot get a compliant license, it is possible that the file may still be uploaded to the relevant wiki in compliance with their local rules. If this upload is your own work, or is someone else's appropriately licensed work, and is within Commons' scope, please go to the page Commons:Abuse filter and click the report an issue with an abuse filter button near the top of the page.
