Fair use rationale for Image:Aveils logo.jpg

Image:Aveils logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

fair use alternative?

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:54, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:NUX VOMICA COVER.jpg

In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Ping-Ponging

Please refrain from using words whose meaning may not be found in a dictionary nor words you make up without a clear meaning. Remember, this is an international accepted encyclopedia, whose content is regularly used in scholastic works! The word 'ping-ponging' has no International acceptable meaning nor is it defined in an accepted English dictionary. Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on The Veils. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Genres

The genres removed from the infobox had objectively been reliably sourced. There was no justification for removing them to leave only indie rock because an editor does not agree with the sources. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 15:32, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

-- none of these sources describe the band as a gothic rock band --FMSky (talk) 15:51, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they pretty clearly do. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 16:14, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What FMSky is attempting to convey is that playing a gothic-rock song does not make a group a gothic-rock band. They are taking a very strict interpretation of wikipedia policy on synthesis, in that articles should only reflect what is explicitly stated by a source or conclusions that would be made by any sensible reader (e.g. 2+2=4). Whether or not playing x music makes a group an x band is, I think, a question without an answer as genre is itself a matter of interpretation, and labels such as those have no metric for veracity, but I digress. I think you two need to endeavor to cooperate, and not compete. GabberFlasted (talk) 18:08, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
