'They are called commonly pink-tongued lizards in Australia, where true lizards (Lacertidae) do not naturally occur'

1: Bearded Dragons, Thorny Devils, several monitors are in Australia. Don't they count?

2: By Lacertidae, I assume it meant Lacertilia. Lacertidae is a family containing the lacertas.
