Major-ish edit proposal
The boronate/boronic ester section is seriously lacking, and to be honest I'm surprised it doesn't have its own page, considering its popularity in synthesis and sensing. I intend to either build it up over the coming few weeks or possible even revive the the boronate ester article and remove the redirect. Contributions welcome, of course. - Great idea. Try to emphasize reviews and books, otherwise these articles often end up focused on specialty results. Another thing: graphics. It is possible that some graphics should be replaced. Some older editors tended to highlight exotica vs mainstream content. We recommend --Smokefoot (talk) 11:01, 20 January 2020 (UTC)wordless graphics, just chemistry then put the words in the caption.--Smokefoot (talk) 10:46, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- Totally in agreement. A lot of the transformations and uses of boronate/boronic esters are covered in fair depth in their own articles, so an overview of general content, with links to the specialised pages, would be more appropriate here I feel. Have noticed a lot of outdated ChemDraws throughout Organic Chemistry wiki articles, may well go through and fix as many as I can one day when I'm bored. RRBinwood (talk) 12:06, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
