Mabel May (21 April 1892 – 9 November 1957) was a British-South African actress. She was known for her starring role as Marie Moxter in Dick Cruikshanks's 1918 film The Symbol of Sacrifice.[1][2]
May was born in England. She married I.W. Schlesinger and worked at his African Film Productions studio,[2][3] appearing in numerous films made by the studio.[4] She emigrated to South Africa shortly after World War I.[5]
Death
May died on 9 November 1957 in Johannesburg, South Africa,[6] at the age of 65.[7]
