Rabiya Occeña Sundall Mateo[1][2][3][4][5][6][19] (born November 14, 1996) is an Indian Filipino[5] model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2020 competition.

Early life and education

Mateo was born by domestic partnership, to an American father of Indian origin and a Filipino mother, who later separated.[15] According to Mateo, she grew up in poverty.[15] She attended Iloilo Doctors' College as Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and graduated cum laude. As of 2020, Mateo was working in SRG Manila Review Center as a lecturer and review coordinator.[20][21]

She represented Iloilo City at the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 after she won Miss Iloilo Universe 2020 at West Visayas State University Cultural Center.[22]

Mateo was crowned by the outgoing Miss Universe Philippines, Gazini Ganados as Miss Universe Philippines 2020 along with different minor awards.[23]
