HKW Chemnitz-Nord (abbreviation for Heizkraftwerk Chemnitz) is a brown-coal fired power station in the northern parts of Chemnitz with a power of 120 megawatts. It has a 302 metre tall chimney, which belongs to the tallest chimneys of Germany (and Europe).
