Hugo Castejón Fernández-Trujillo is a Spanish economist, pop singer, and songwriter.

Early life

Hugo Castejón Fernández-Trujillo was born in Oviedo, Spain, but grew up in Madrid, Spain. His father is Jesús Castejón. He went to High School in Boston (MA, USA) and studied business in Italy and in Philadelphia (PA, USA). In his early days during his college time in Italy, he created an amateur band where he was the lead singer and songwriter.[1][2]

Career

He won the competition for the Spanish Economist and Trade Technician in 1991."Boletín Oficial del Estado, 20 de Noviembre de 1996". BOE. November 22, 2019.

In 2013, Hugo wrote with co-writer and producer, Carlos Peralta (Maffio) his first song “Dance La Noche”. The song was released worldwide in November 2013. It reached the #4 position on iTunes Spain and the top ten in some Latin American countries.[3]

In June 2014, Hugo wrote his second single “You’ll Be Mine” that reached #1 position on iTunes Spain[4] and was #1 in radio stations of different countries in Latin America. The song has a version in Spanish, “Vas A Flipar”, which was presented in Univision's “Despierta America” with great success.

In May 2015, Hugo released his 3rd single “Fiesta Tonight” and “Fiesta Tonight” Spanish, reaching again #1 position on iTunes Spain. He also performed in Univision's “Despierta America”. In 2016, No Te Vayas a Enamorar was released. In 2018, the singer released his new hit Ayer La Vi.

Hugo has been named It Boy of the moment by Men's Health Spain and Hombre 10 by Diez Minutos magazine.[5]

He has been interviewed by some of the main newspapers, TV and Radio Stations of both Spain and America.
