Professor Sir Geoffrey E. R. Lloyd (born 1933) is a Historian of Ancient Science and Medicine at the University of Cambridge. Lloyd's approach to ancient science was strongly influenced by his studies of anthropology, which led him to take a broader approach to the history of science and to place ancient investigations of nature securely in their cultural context.
