University of Ottawa Library is the library system of University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is composed of 3 main libraries - the Morisset Library (Arts and Science), the Brian Dickson Law Library and the Health Sciences Library - in addition to a number of specialized research collections.[1]
Description
The main library is the Morisset Library (Arts and Science), where Archives and Special Collections, Geographic, Statistical and Government Information Centre, and Media Centre are located in the Morisset Pavillion. The University of Ottawa Library contains approximately 8 million items including printed books, ebooks, maps, and etc. with its collection budget of $15 million Canadian dollars.[2]
The Archives and Special Collections contains holdings on a variety of subjects, particularly on feminism movement in Canada and it has the largest collection of feminist publications in Canada from periodicals and newsletters including Branching Out and Broadside[3]. In addition, in 2018, the Archives and Special Collections collaborated with the Library and Archives Canada and the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists – Education and Research Institute (INWES-ERI) founded by Monique Frize for the project of Canadian Archive of Women in STEM to develop a search index portal to facilitate discovery in one central location[4].
In 2018, the Learning Crossroads (CRX) was opened to students, faculty, and staff at uOttawa with two lecture halls and more than 1000 individual and group study rooms[5][6]. In addition, it houses a wide range of cutting-edge technologies like a video wall, featuring a giant 8K screen, virtual reality equipment and multimedia studios[7].

The Library is a member of the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL)[8], the Association of Research Libraries (ARL)[9], and the Ontario Council of University Libraries[10] as well as other groups.
