Hello, I'm Guanaco. I noticed that in this edit to 2016 Ohio State University attack, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —Guanaco 00:39, 6 June 2017 (UTC) [reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from 2016 Minnesota mall stabbing without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Information icon Please do not remove content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Murder of Milly Dowler, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Do not delete text without giving valid reason and make use of appropriate box at foot of article. David J Johnson (talk) 18:22, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

Hi HastyBriar321! I see that you have been changing various links; the particular ones I have noticed are 2017 Las Vegas shooting and 2015 San Bernardino attack. The previous wording of these links was acceptable because they were something called redirects. Redirects are common or alternative names for an article, eg USA redirects to United States. As per WP:NOTBROKEN, there is no need to "correct" these types of links. There is no need to change 2017 Las Vegas shooting to Las Vegas shooting as the redirect takes care of that automaticity. I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions, do feel free to ask. Happy editing! Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 20:24, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How am I a sockpuppet?... HastyBriar321 (talk) 08:53, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You guys didn't even open a sockpuppet investigation towards me; what proof do you have? HastyBriar321 (talk) 09:02, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am not a sockpuppet of this DisuseKid character, and I'm not sure how this even came up. A sockpuppet investigation into me wasn't even opened; I could've defended myself there. I would just like an explanation into how this conclusion was reached. HastyBriar321 (talk) 20:24, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

HastyBriar321 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am not a sockpuppet of this DisuseKid character, and I'm not sure how this even came up. A sockpuppet investigation into me wasn't even opened; I could've defended myself there. No one's even answering my question as to how that conclusion was reached. I just want an explanation so then I could properly defend myself. HastyBriar321 (talk) 20:58, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

 • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
 • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=I am not a sockpuppet of this DisuseKid character, and I'm not sure how this even came up. A sockpuppet investigation into me wasn't even opened; I could've defended myself there. No one's even answering my question as to how that conclusion was reached.
