TRXYE is the third EP (first signed with a major label) by Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, will be released on 15 August 2014 by Universal Music Australia through EMI Music Australia.[1] The EP was preceded by the release of the singles "The Fault In Our Stars" and "Happy Little Pill".[2][3][4]

Background

On 5 June 2013, Sivan was signed to EMI Australia, a Universal Music Australia label, but kept it a secret until a year later. On 26 June 2014, he announced (while begin on VidCon) that he will be releasing a five-song EP on 15 August 2014, and later uploaded a Youtube video in his channel revealing the details and the cover art of the EP.[5][6]

Singles

"The Fault In Our Stars" was released on 5 May, 2013, as the first single (when the EP was not announced yet) through a Youtube video on Sivan's channel after the success of uploading the song on Tumblr.[2][7][8] A new version of the song was released as a single on 13 June, 2014.[4][9] This version will be in the EP.[1]

"Happy Little Pill" was released on 25 July, 2014 as the second single of the EP.[3] It reached number one on iTunes in several countries.[10] It has also charted in 9 countries, including the US where it peaked number 92 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
