The Crimean Peninsula is a peninsula in the north of the Black Sea, in Eastern Europe.

Political entities

  • Autonomous Republic of Crimea, an autonomous republic of Ukraine, territory now controlled by Russia. Not including Sevastopol and northern part of Arabat Spit.
  • Republic of Crimea, since March 2014, a federal subject of Russia, covering the same territory as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Not including Sevastopol and northern part of Arabat Spit.
