Myrnyi (Template:Lang-uk; Template:Lang-ru; Template:Lang-crh) is an urban-type settlement in the Yevpatoria municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in southern Ukraine.[2] The town's population was 4,052 as of the 2001 Ukrainian Census[2] and 4,210 in 2011.[3]
The settlement was founded in 1969. It received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1977.[2]
Related to the Crimean crises 2014, 5th March, 2014, in Myrnyi there were located about 800 soldiers of the Russian 15th separate moto-rifle brigade (Samara). [4]
