Alpine Skiing at the 1992 Winter Olympics consisted of ten Alpine Skiing events. The men's events were held at Val d’Isère, except for the slalom, held at Les Menuires. The women's events were held at Meribel. The events began on 9 February and ended on 22 February 1992.[1]
Medal summary
Twelve nations won medals in Alpine skiing, with Austria leading the medal table, winning three gold, two silver and three bronze. Petra Kronberger led the individual medal table with two gold medals, while Alberto Tomba was the most successful male skiier, with two medals, one gold and one silver.
Marc Girardelli's two silver medals were the first won for Luxembourg in the winter Olympics, and made him the most successful Luxembourg Olympic athlete to date. Similarly, Annelise Coberger's silver medal in the women's slalom was New Zealand's first, and of 2010, only Winter Olympic medal. Norway's four medals were the first for the country in 40 years, since the 1952 Olympics.

Algeria, Brazil, Croatia, Denmark, North Korea, Slovenia, Swaziland and the Unified Team (athletes from the former Soviet Union) made their Olympic alpine skiing debuts.
