Sig

Hey Treyvo, how's it going? Just an FYI, I think your new signature doesn't have a </small> tag, so any text after your sig is being turned small (like on the WPVG's assessment page, which I changed). — Levi van Tine (tc) 06:09, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on Major League Gaming's talk page

Your comment on the article's talk page asks users to create an account in order to edit the article. I understand that you've invested a lot of time into the article, but a statement like that may confuse newcomers and make them think that it is Wikipedia policy to create an account before editing. Please consider striking the comment or removing it entirely, as it's bordering on ownership. Also remember that not every IP is a vandal. P.S. I noticed you removed the archive request from the talk page without actually archiving the page, or even leaving an edit summary. The page is becoming very long and a lot of it is old and currently irrelevant. — Levi van Tine (tc) 07:47, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Section headings, MOS, and apology, and "help?"

While articles have titles, sections have headings. In both cases, though, unlike book titles, only the 1st word is capitalized, wp:MOS unless the other words would normally be capitalized. I erred, and took your change out a second time, and I apologize for that, and have restored it.

I could really use help findig sources for the remaining unsourced bits. The detail on how the tournaments work is very dense at the MLG site... do you have a source for how it works? Much of the pro circuit section is unsourced. We also need a source for the viewership. It should be ok under wp:SELFPUB if the MLG site is the source, but I can't spot it.

Thanks, and again, my apology for taking the caps out the second time. - Sinneed 15:53, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tyler Roses has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Proposed professional baseball teams aren't necessarily notable, and this has no sources at all

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nyttend (talk) 00:30, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamo Stadium

Hi there, I thought I'd talk to you on here before mentioning it on the Dynamo page. Do you think the Dynamo stadium future location might call for an extended section? I know it's too soon to actually start a Dynamo Stadium, but the Saga to get there in itself is bordering on the ridiculous.

My plan is to take pictures of both sites to be included in the future. Let me know what you think if perhaps this merits being brought up on the actual talk page. Cheers! --Hourick (talk) 06:10, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not comfortable enough to start up an article on the topic quite yet, but perhaps an expanded section on the search for the location or a user page to "park" the information for future use, for example: From Swamplot--Hourick (talk) 06:25, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that was a surprise! Then this should be an excellent addition for when the actual stadium (hopefully soon!) gets built. Thanks for pointing this out to me. --Hourick (talk) 19:56, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on West Texas Pavement Crushers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 22:16, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MLG and Gamebattles

Hi Treyvo, You might have noticed that I tried to to edit the MLG page a few days ago and then undid my edit because I realized that I was not helping the article. I'm recently new to Wikipedia and I've become aware that there is very little in terms of teams, MLG, and e-Sports in general. I just wanted to suggest that you add a section about MLg's ownership of Gamebattles along with expanding on how the rankings work to your article and to thank you for the effort you've put in to maintaining the article. Tiers and levels and the SPSL

Hi there. I wanted to send you a friendly message before I revert your changes again. You need to understand that it is impossible for the SPSL to be a Division 4 league. It's a brand new league, not officially affiliated to the NPSL, and and without any historical data to rank its level of play. All leagues officially sanctioned by USASA - with the exception of the NPSL and the PCSL, which are at Division 4 for historical reasons - are at Level 5 of the American Soccer Pyramid, because that's where the USSF has designated those teams to be. Even long-established leagues like the Cosmopolitan Soccer League, the CASL, and the Coast Soccer League in California are at level 5, even though the standard of play could be categorized as being "higher" than the NPSL, and even though they employ ex-professionals in their squads, because that's where USASA-sanctioned leagues are in the pyramid. There's just no getting around it. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm not denigrating your league... it's just a fact. So i'm going to change it back to L5, as the USSF and USASA dictates, and please don't revert me again. Thanks. --JonBroxton (talk) 05:44, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SPSL rivalry cups requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Southern Premier Soccer League

Treyvo, I am not overly familar with wiki procedures, so I will take this issue to you. JonBraxton made some very valid points in relation to our level of play. I had a very in depth coversation about the issue with USSF, the suggestion was to sanction through US Club Soccer instead of USASA, which we have now done. There are now a number of current L4 teams that are in the process of joining our new league for the 2011 Spring season and beyond. There should be a press release in regards to the first defection later this week. We are also working with a groups in Florida and California for two additional six team divsions to start the first natural season in 2011-2012.

US Club Soccer has reconized the SPSL as a national league, and we feel this is deserving on L4, and ultimately L3 as we progress towards 2011-2012. ~~StephenHeisler1966~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by StephenHeisler1966 (talkcontribs) 11:58, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rio Grande Valley Bravos

Hey Treyvo, seeing as you are close to the issue, I thought you might know: are the Rio Grande Valley Bravos leaving the PDL entirely, or do they plan to play PDL in the summer of 2011 and then SPSL in the winter of 2011-12 (and then PDL in the summer of 2012)? If they are leaving entirely, I will need to make a note of it on the 2011 PDL season page when it gets created. Thanks! --JonBroxton (talk) 18:21, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ocelots? What an awesome name! We can just do a page move and a re-direct from the Bravos. I'll write a little history about their PDL exploits, and then we can add in the new Ocelots info afterwards. --JonBroxton (talk) 21:24, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
PS, I say we do the page move/rename once the 2011 PDL alignment is formally announced in mid-Nov - that way we can add refs clarifying that they will not be in the PDL next year. We can still add in the info about the impending name change, though, maybe under the "change of league" section? --JonBroxton (talk) 21:30, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Southern Premier Soccer League

That's fine, but you can't add a citation of a phone conversation. I'm not saying it's not true. In fact, I would be willing to say it's absolutely true. Unfortunately, you can't add it to Wiki without a verifiable WP:SOURCE, because that's one of the site's core policies. --JonBroxton (talk) 22:23, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And don't forget that you can't just have the president add it to the SPSL website. It has to come from a verifiable third party source, like USCS or the USSF, or a news report. --JonBroxton (talk) 22:34, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Galveston Pirate SC, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 00:19, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job getting the Galveston Pirate SC page back up. What a chore that was! Wikipedia has too many picky editors. Anyway. Welcome to the NPSL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrcrumley (talkcontribs) 19:33, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
