Simpson-Miller, who leads the People's National Party, previously served as Prime Minister from 2006 to 2007; she was Leader of the Opposition from 2007 to 2012.[1]

While serving as Prime Minister, Simpson-Miller also chose to hold the positions of Minister of Defence, Development, Information and Sports.
