Planet Soul was a house duo from Miami, Florida, composed of producer George Acosta and singer Nadine Renee. They released one album in 1996, entitled Energy and Harmony, and are primarily remembered as a one-hit wonder for their song "Set U Free", which peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100[1] in early 1996.[2] "Planet Soul" was then started up again in late 2010 by Josh Jakubow and John Jakubow two brothers from Miami, FL. They have brought EDM back to the group, and have been hitting club charts around the world [citation needed]. Their records have appeared in 2012 Top 100 on beatport, itunes, and online digital music retailers [citation needed]. They are a group that has combined both audio and visual appearances in their performances.
Nadine Renee's death
On December 2, 2004, Renee died of complications from the delivery of her first child, Liat Nadine Shamir.[3]
