This is my discussion page. First read my user page. I'd advise against discussion but if you must, do. I think we can simplify this. You do not need my permission to mark up any article I have worked on. I have no objection to your adding, changing, or deleting anything there. I will revert nothing you do. I will discuss nothing you do or I did. Don't ask for references, fixes, more information, interventions, whatever. If you are an administrator, do not bother cautioning, warning, citing the policy, or threatening, or trying to get on my good side. I know perfectly well who you are. If you want to block, block. If you want to revert, revert.

I do have some advice, and that is don't break the law. You're responsible for your own edits and the credo by which you made them. As far as I'm concerned, your edits to the article are YOUR responsibility, not mine. I'm not an administrator. I am an autoreviewer. Everything I do on Wikipedia is in good faith. You may take my suggestions or leave them. I do not feel any need to debate, oppose, philosophize, take sides, object, reform, fix, judge, evaluate, get angry, advise, whatever. Whoever you are I love you as I would humanity. However, you are responsible for what you do or say. Chances are, I am not going to answer any messages left here.

Now, with all these caveats in mind, and having read my user page, do you still wish to leave me a message? If so, Wikipedia provides this space for doing that. You can send me email also. However, don't expect any replies from me.

A request for clarification

Hey Botteville! Two years ago, you editted the Salem Beverly Waterway Canal page with this edit, during a major expansion. In the edit, you wrote, "...and gave it the right to divert up to 2500 million gallons per day from December to May from Ipswich River flows above 20 million gallons per day." Did you meant to say 2,500 gallons? I editted it to say that, as the other number implies that it is a major river, which it is not. Thanks for your help! I decided to answer this straightforward question. I did so in the article and on its discussion page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ipswich River, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Essex County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
