Ebblinghem (from Flemish; Ebblingem in modern Dutch spelling) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France.
Ebblinghem is the site of the Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, which contains over 440 graves, most of which are servicemen from Commonwealth countries killed in the First World War.
Ebblinghem is also the site of Le Chateau, a residential hostel for English speaking schools and groups. It is an ideal and popular location for British groups as it is within driving distance of the capital Paris, the port of Calais and the major first world war heritage sites of France and Belgium, especially those around the town of Ypres, West Flanders.
Heraldry
The arms of Ebblinghem are blazoned : Argent, a fess azure between 7 ermine spots (4 and 3) (sable).
