Stop 'n' Swop is a hidden feature in the N64 game Banjo-Kazooie, and the subject of much discussion and speculation amongst fans of the game.

At the end of Banjo-Kazooie, Mumbo Jumbo showed the protagonists a collection of videos, which showed Banjo and Kazooie returning to various levels from the game, with secret doors having opened. The videos showed the player collecting two eggs (one blue and one yellow) and a large key made of ice. It was promised that in the sequel, Banjo-Tooie, these secret items would be made accessible.

However, when Banjo-Tooie came around, it transpired that there were indeed two eggs and an Ice Key to collect in the game, but these were attained entirely within levels from Banjo-Tooie; never did the player return to the original game as promised. In addition, the eggs and key themselves were significantly smaller than the Banjo-Kazooie ones, and the rewards for collecting them were largely underwhelming. Most fans saw this as a disappointing cop-out.

Stop 'n' Swop was 'discovered' by the owners and operators of the Rare Witch Project, a Banjo fansite, through GameShark hacking: they managed to unearth seven cheat codes that could be entered in the sandcastle of Treasure Trove Cove to make the Ice Key and six coloured eggs appear. However, it is to this day unknown what the eggs and key were intended for.Yet,in Tooie the eggs and key are available through moving annoying N64 game packs.Tip:if you find a game pack while playing, try shooting it with eggs.
