Fabio Capello (June 18, 1946, San Canzian d'Isonzo, Gorizia) is an Italian football (soccer) ex player and nowadays manager, widely regarded as one of the best managers in the history of world football. He is currently the head coach of Juventus, one of the biggest clubs in Serie A and in the World.

Capello made his name in the early 1990s at A.C. Milan, leading a team including the likes of Paolo Maldini and Franco Baresi to four league titles in five years with a team nicknamed "the invincibles" who went on the not loose a game for one and a half seasons.

With a style that spurned the traditional Italian caution of catenaccio, in 1994 Milan routed a great F.C. Barcelona team 4-0 to win the European Cup. Although A.C. Milan surrendered the Serie A title in 1995 - finishing a disappointing fourth - Capello signed off from his six-year stint with the Rossoneri by regaining the league championship the following year.

He then had a single season in charge of Real Madrid, guiding the club to the Spanish league title, before returning to A.C. Milan for a shorter and less successful spell.

He switched to A.S. Roma, winning the 2001 scudetto, or the championship of Serie A. Having guided A.S. Roma to its first honours in a decade, he left the debt-ridden club for Juventus, where he had played as a winger.

Having taken Juventus to the 2004/05 scudetto, Capello is one of the few coaches to claim championship victories in four major European cities (Milan, Madrid, Rome and Turin).

But on 2006, Capello annouced that he is to take a break and maybe quit in 2009, "I Don't know what will i do after my contract ends with Juve, but i am sure to quit in 2009]".

He announced also that he wants to have a new experience outside of Italy, almost certain in England. "To coach an English team was always a dream to me, because the English Premier League always fascinates me" he said. Many rumours linked him to Manchester United, but some also linked him to his previous club Real Madrid.

However Capello didn't deny those reports, and admits that he is currently thinking about accepting Madrid's offer after his contract with Juventus expires in 2007. Capello said that he will accept the offer on one condition, to get rid of players he doesnt need like Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Michel Salgado, and that he demands top class players like Inter's Adriano, Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, Juve's Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The four players are estimated to cost Real Madrid 144 million Euros.

In mid-March, Capello reportedly confirmed an interest in the soon to be vacated England postion, making him by far the most successful manager linked with the post.

Prior to coaching, Capello was capped 32 times for the Italian national team, scoring eight goals. As a player Capello played for Spall, A.S. Roma, Juventus, and A.C. Milan.

He earned the nickname "Don Fabio" due to his strong personality.
