The Sarposa Prison escape was an escape from the Kandahar detention facility in Kandahar, Afghanistan by Taliban insurgents on April 24-25 2011. One of the largest escape by Afghan insurgents, the raid freed 450-550 prisoners.

In the end almost 550 of the prisoners at the facility, managed to escape.
