Why I reverted
The text I reverted was taken directly from Food Network's website. There's a nice copyright notice at the bottom. [1] Gentgeen 05:46, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- A lot of that information was hidden in the info box under Puck's picture. I've move much of than information into the narative of the article. Thank you for bringing this up, so the article could be improved. Gentgeen 05:41, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
"He was born to Maria Worth in a butcher shop who abandoned her before their child's birth. (Austrian shops can be very callous.) Maria married Josef Puck in 1956, who adopted Wolfgang. The marriage produced another son and two daughters." This is very strange.
name
How do you pronounce his birth name? Top-Fah-schnig? Wjhonson 17:45, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Topfschnig. I'm not a German speaker, but I know the P and F are pronounced together, like "Pfeiffer", where you don't enunciate the P, but when it's at the end of a syllable you do, so the first syllable is "topf". "sch" is almost always equivalent to English "sh" or [ʃ] in IPA, and the I is long, how English speakers spell "eee". The G at the end of the word is sometimes a G and sometimes a "ch" like in Scottish "loch" or "Chanukah", and the IPA is [χ]. In short, I'd say it's: topf.shneegh. Hi. People in Austria definitely pronounce it this way: "topf-schnick" (to be honest it's kinda hard to pronounce for Austrians too, because the name Topfschnig derives from Slovenia and has been assimilated by Austrian authorities many decades ago.) By the way: the G at the end is never pronounced as "ch" in Austria and southern Germany , that would be typically for someone from northern or central Germany. -- I AGREE
Spago
Spago deserves its own page.... except I know way too little about the place to write one. Anybody? Anybody? JDoorjam Talk 07:53, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- I know that there is a Spago in Beverly Hills (very good, I dined there) and one in Las Vegas (I have heard not so good reviews about it). Funcrab 21:55, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Controversy: Hep A not B
I changed Hepatitis B to Hepatitis A because that is what the story clearly says the cook was infected with.
- I don't see any reference to this in the article at all. Perhaps it has been vandalized.24.4.132.165 (talk) 01:42, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Free image
If the current image is removed, there's a free image at Image:Wolfgang Puck cropped.jpg. Not great, but it meets our rules. - Peregrine Fisher 17:53, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- A more recent picture would be nice. ChildofMidnight (talk) 17:26, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Restaurants
I would like to see a list of his restaurants and more of a discussion of his cuisine. Spago is mega famous. And each of his restaurants is different. That's more interesting to me than his marketing and product licensing empire, which is also notable. ChildofMidnight (talk) 21:38, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
veal controversy
Is this honestly worth mentioning? the appeal of this information is so narrow being only interesting to the most extreme animal rights activist I can't even fathom anyone but whoever the poster was would care. Further the information cancels itself out. I'm going to delete half that section since its unsupported and unsubstantiated by the article cited and reads like talking points from some bunny jihadi —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgeddis (talk • contribs) 02:49, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Las Vegas (TV series)
Any reason why it isn't listed in his notable TV appearances? 78.86.230.62 (talk) 16:39, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
name in caption
Why is he being called "Wolfgang Jorge Puck?"
other restaurants
So far the list only gives Puck's successful restaurants. It might be fun to list the ones that didn't make it as well. Like the one he opened in Los Angeles in the late 1980s around sausages and beer, both made on the premises. Can't remember its name; interior design was by Barbara Lazaroff, looked like Deconstructed Third Reich, and probably the reason it failed. Hi it was called Eureka and oh btw fuck you
There was also a restaurant in Newport Beach, CA at Fashion Island back in the early 90's, also, there is a restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA at South Coast Plaza (it was closed for a while getting a remodel) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.203.191.93 (talk) 09:15, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

So where does the "Johannes" in his name come from? Macetw (talk) 16:33, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
