Template:Future product Microsoft Office Live is an upcoming Office suite in the form of a web application, to be released by Microsoft as part of their Windows Live initiative, hence the "Live" part of the product name. A first look at this service as a beta is expected to be released in early 2006 for US residents. Microsoft's aims for platform independence in the web service are unknown at this point, as is a release date for the final product.

The aim with Office Live is to establish an online productivity environment that in part consists of free services, and part commercial services.

Announced commercial services include business management applications along with a more secure website managed by Microsoft, where users are supposed to be able to share work between company employees as well as customers, suppliers, and contractors.
