Nasty Canasta is a New York City-based Neo-Burlesque performer. She is the star[1] and co-creator and producer[2] of Pinchbottom Burlesque, the producer and host of Sweet & Nasty Burlesque,[3] and the featured performer in the New York branch of Naked Girls Reading[4]. She has won multiple awards and accolades, including (as Pinchbottom Burlesque) A New York Magazine "Best of New York" pick,[5] and the first-ever "Most Innovative" award from The Burlesque Hall of Fame[6] and numerous Golden Pastie Awards from the New York Burlesque festival. She is the inspiration for the fictional character "Nasty Canasta" in Jonny Porkpie's The Corpse Wore Pasties (Hard Case Crime, 2009)[7].The Brooklyn Paper calls Nasty "Brooklyn’s greatest burlesque star"[8].
