Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Indigent, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • Cluebot produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Indigent was changed by 66.183.96.74 (u) (t) redirecting article to non-existant page on 2009-11-30T10:26:57+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 10:26, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Indigent. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. arunkumarcheckmate me 10:31, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And I quote:
Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. Vandalism cannot and will not be tolerated. Common types of vandalism are the addition of obscenities or crude humor, page blanking, and the insertion of nonsense into articles.
In what possible way can you mis-characterise my redirect to the Wiktionary definition of "Indigent" ... you are the vandal, not me. You are obviously see yourself as some kind of vigilante bent on crushing contributions from others (as is evident from your own user page). Please be precise, don't just wave the word "vandalism" as though it is some magic stick to beat over the heads of people who are actually contributing to Wikipedia.
The redirect to Wiktionary is appropriate and correct, because the Wiktionary entry actually defines this word, whereas the Wikipedia article is a general discussion on the history, causes and possible programs to reduce poverty ... which in no way is enlightening in terms of defining the word "indigent" ... please find something constructive to do if you wish to be a positive influence on Wikipedia. 66.183.96.74 (talk)

Your Intention

Hi..Your intention seems to be good..But this is English Wikipedia.Any redirects here must be to another article in english wikipedia.Thanks... arunkumarcheckmate me 10:34, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • REBUTTAL: Obviously you never paid attention to the revised redirect ... previously to a general discussion on "poverty" which did not clarify the meaning of indigent, whereas there is a perfectly adequate and precise definition in Wiktionary, per: wikt:indigent
  • BEBUTTAL: This is NOT vandalism. Your intention may be good also, but displays misguided enthusiasm and obvious lack of attention to the issue. Wikipedia should be a repository of concise information. The previous redirect to poverty is vague and fails to define the word indigent whereas there is a perfectly good definition in the ENGLISH Wiktionary. Please stop reverting a perfectly valid and positive contribution I am making on a spurious whim. Please understand what you are doing. It would be far better for Wikipedia if you spend your time doing something constructive than doing something distructive of what others have contributed constructively.
