Gold medal – first place 1984 Los Angeles Eights

Paul Steele (born December 5, 1957 in New Westminster, British Columbia) is a Canadian rower, who was a member of the Canadian men's eights team that won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.

Steele was raised in North Delta, B.C. and graduated from North Delta Senior Secondary before attending the University of British Columbia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree prior to joining the Canadian National Team.

He also competed and medaled in the `83 Pan-Am Games (Venezuela), the `86 Commonwealth Games (Edinburgh), and several high-profile regatta including the Henley, the Head of the Charles, and the Worlds. His last competition was at the `88 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.
