I received a reply to a question I sent to the NSRM:
The simple answer to the relationship between the operating tourist railroad which assumed the name the “Virginia & Truckee” and the Nevada State Railroad Museum is none, zero. We are not related in any way shape or form other than a shared subject interest. The operating V&T Railway is a for-profit corporation and the Museum is an Agency of the State of Nevada. The V&T Railway operates from Virginia City to Gold Hill, about 20 miles distant from Carson City, the two entities do not physically connect. Equipment owned and operated by the V&T is also separate and distinct from that owned or otherwise held by the Nevada State Railroad Museum.
The Nevada State Railroad Museum has, in addition to the website hosted by the Friends of the Nevada State Railroad Museum, its own website accessed by going to http://nevadaculture.org and clicking on the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City.
The Museum sits on a 13 acre site on the south side of Carson City. We have a number of buildings and about one mile of track over which we operate rail excursions using historic pieces from the collection. The buildings house both restored and un-restored locomotives and rolling stock pertaining not just to the V&T but to the railroads that served northern Nevada.
I'll incorporate this into the article. Simesa 19:54, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

Is http://dmla.clan.lib.nv.us/docs/museums/BoulderCity/rr.htm still a valid link? I've tried it a few times and it doesn't work for me.n2xjk (talk) 20:04, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
