Andrew Marriner is a British classical clarinetist and the son of the famed conductor Neville Marriner. He was a boy chorister in the Choir of King's College, Cambridge.[1] In 1968, he joined the National Youth Orchestra, and eventually pursued studies at Oxford University. He then left Oxford and moved to Hanover, Germany, where he studied with Hans Deinzer. He is currently the principal clarinetist of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields. He is also a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music.
