Nelsan Ellis is an American film and TV actor currently seen on HBO's True Blood.
Nelsan Ellis was born in Alabama and raised in Chicago. He attended the Juillard School of the Arts and while there, wrote a semi-autobiographical play titled Ugly that was performed at the school and won the Martin Segal Award.
