Hi-C is an American rap artist. He has collaborated with DJ Quik and AMG.
Biogrphay
Hi-C (born Crawford Wilkerson)a rapper from Compton, California. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but family relocated to Compton which later became a member of the Westside Piru Bloods. During his time on the streets Hi-C met longtimes friends DJ Quik, 2nd II None and AMG and began making music together in 1987 he featured on the DJ Quik's mixtape The Red Tape with 2nd II None and AMG. While still together as a group Hi-C signed with Hollywood Records while DJ Quik & 2nd II None signed twith Profile and AMG signed with Select Records, Hi-C recorded his first album called Skanless with Tony A and released 2 singles "Leave My Curls Alone" and I'm Not Your Puppet" he also used Spanish in one of the songs, "Jack Move". In 1993 he released his second album called Swing'in and also worked on the soundtrack of the movie CB4. while still making music he has produced music for other artist such as DJ Quik, 2nd II None, Nate Dogg, AMG, Mausberg, Suga Free and Shade Sheist more recently followed the lead of other West Coast rappers such as Snoop Dogg and Mack 10. In 2003 Hi-C released his third album The Hi-Life Hustle to record for a Southern record company Rap-a-Lot Records and continues to make music.
