You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for Block evasion: continuing edit war while blocked (Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Ufuncecu). Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Request reason:

I have just logged on and found that I have been blocked. This is my private computer and no one has access to it but me. I edited the UF main article and the UF talk page, and advocated for Ufuncecu's edits. How can I be blocked for this? I have read over the rules (3RR, vandalism, sockpuppet, etc.), and my edits have not violated any of these rules. Jccort accused me of being Ufuncecu's sockpuppet, but I just ignored it since I didn't even know who that was, other than someone I agreed with regarding the particular issue I was editing about. Please unblock me.66.26.89.99 (talk) 03:45, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You've been engaging in sockpuppetry by logging out to continue to edit war. This request and the request of your main account are both declined. — GbT/c 07:49, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

What do you mean that this request and the request of my main account are both declined? I do not understand what you are saying. Also, I am not associated with Ufuncecu. How can I prove that I am not someone else? This is my private computer, so what is going on?66.26.89.99 (talk)

Decline reason:

To answer all your questions....

  1. We mean that you're still blocked. Your request to be unblocked was not accepted, therefore, it was declined.
  2. We've already proved that you aren't someone else through the use of the checkuser tool. Your case is Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Ufuncecu. If you are on a private computer, and nobody has access but you, it would seem quite logical that you are the same person as User:Ufuncecu.
  3. It would seem that what is going on is you were edit warring with your account, then when you got blocked, you logged out and kept it up. We blocked you again, and now we're declining your unblock requests until you agree to discuss your edits and stop evading blocks.

Any more questions? — Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:38, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I actually do have one more question: Do the admins have to be such jerks in response to my request? I am new to Wikipdia, and clearly I have gotten caught up in something I don't quite understand. I don't really care what checkuser says, no one has access to my computer and I am not User:Ufuncecu, so whatever logic she is talking about is flawed. I looked at the checkuser case page, and I don't understand how that proves anything. It looks like we are both in central North Carolina, but that is it. Also, how am I supposed to agree to stop evading blocks when I have not been blocked before?66.26.89.99 (talk)

Decline reason:

Checkuser has proven you are Ufuncecu. Sorry. — Rjd0060 (talk) 04:27, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do apologize for my tone in the last decline reason. It was inappropriate, and there were better ways to explain that to you. However, that doesn't mean we're going to unblock you, as you still haven't provided any reason for us to do so. You admit you're from the same state, you made the same edits to the same article, our software confirms you were on the same IP address, so it seems you are the person you're claiming not to me. Who are you?

You are obviously aware that everyone thinks that we are the same person, since you and I were both blocked for being the same person. Where are you in NC? I am in Wake Forest.

Also, has your block been lifted? I emailed Sam Korn, the guy who originally confirmed that you and I were the same person at (Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Ufuncecu), to argue that the evidence could not possible show that we were the same person. He agreed and changed the findings on checkuser and lifted my block.

Did you go to UF? Obviously, our similar interest in the school started this whole thing.Ufuncecu (talk) 23:46, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
