J. Nort Atkinson

J. Nort Atkinson was the first head college football coach for the Ottawa University Braves located in Ottawa, Kansas and he held that position for two seasons, from 1901 until 1902. His career coaching record at Ottawa was 12 wins, 5 losses, and 2 ties. This ranks him 15th at Ottawa in total wins and ninth at Ottawa in winning percentage (0.632).

Ottawa University football dates back to 1891, but the teams either played without a coach or no coaching records were kept.[1]
