Shaun Teale was a Villa Park legend and English defensive mainstay. He had a great engine and was surprisingly good at pulling the strings for a central defender, threading through delightful balls for dynamic striking duo Dean Saunders and Dalian Atkinson like there was no tomorrow. Good friends with then supremo 'Big Ron' Atkinson, Tealsey, as he was affectionately known by the Villa Park faithful, wore the number 5 shirt with pride and was universally adored as one of the Holte End's favourite sons. Tragicly, his career at Villa Park ended abruptly with a spectular falling out with the corridors of power, culminating in the ruthless axeing of this footballing legend by 'Deadly Doug' Ellis, the man in the Aston Villa hotseat.
