Andy Serkis plays as Gollum in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-2003). He has played in over 30 other roles in movie/tv productions through his career.

Because his character (Gollum) in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The (2002) was computer-generated, he was ruled ineligible for a Best Supporting Actor award at the 2003 Academy Awards. Owns the prop ring used in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers", given to him by director Peter Jackson.
