The following was said about me by the ever-eloquent User:VirtualEye :
"Are you people paid the part time also? to cunningly work for evil researchwork? Wikipedia will be better off by removing such wound creating hidden worms from its body. The moment you bow towards such evil editors , the moment you losed golden chance to identify." (Disclaimer: he incurred a block because of this; no one should post these kinds of comments except perhaps in this context.)
Spend next to no time on wikipedia for the foreseeable future. (not likely)
Problems
The articles on the Muslim invasions and rule over India do not give enough coverage to the massacres, enslavement, and forced conversions that characterized that period. I'm surprised that no one has taken action on this, but I personally do not like to think about those matters so I don't plan on fixing this problem myself. Good sources include Will Durant's "The Story of Civilization: Our Oriental Heritage" and K.S. Lal's books.
Those who resort to argument on the grounds of moral relativism implicitly acknowledge that what they are defending is immoral by modern standards. If they hold that morality is fixed (i.e., it is ingrained in some biologically determined human characteristics, or it is decided by a transcendent God), and that modern standards are closer to the real standards at least as regards the issue at hand, they are shooting themselves in the foot. Where we find instances of this, it would be best to note who is making the argument, in what context, to what effect, and if that argument is compatible with the belief system this person is making or not, or if it is even intended as an apology. There is confusing ambiguity in many places because these clarifying details are not given. It may be difficult to do so.
