Support request with team editing experiment project

Dear tech ambassadors, instead of spamming the Village Pump of each Wikipedia about my tiny project proposal for researching team editing (see here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IdeaLab/Research_team_editing), I have decided to leave to your own discretion if the matter is relevant enough to inform a wider audience already. I would appreciate if you could appraise if the Wikipedia community you are more familiar with could have interest in testing group editing "on their own grounds" and with their own guidance. In a nutshell: it consists in editing pages as a group instead of as an individual. This social experiment might involve redefining some aspects of the workflow we are all used to, with the hope of creating a more friendly and collaborative environment since editing under a group umbrella creates less social exposure than traditional "individual editing". I send you this message also as a proof that the Inspire Campaign is already gearing up. As said I would appreciate of *you* just a comment on the talk page/endorsement of my project noting your general perception about the idea. Nothing else. Your contribution helps to shape the future! (which I hope it will be very bright, with colors, and Wikipedia everywhere) Regards from User:Micru on meta.

NHRP detaggables

So, I ended up here: User:The Anome/NHRP detaggables because of this redirect, Skeleton Cave Massacre Site. I recently created Skeleton Cave (Arizona), and when I was linking other pages to the article, I found the detaggables page. In scanning your list, I came across Work, John, House and Mill Site which I then linked to John Work House and Mill Site which has existed since 2006.

It occurred to me that there may be a number of pages already in existence, but since they are not formatted the same as what's on this page, they aren't being identified as being done. I'm trying to think on how to solve this problem. --evrik (talk)

Please see User talk:The Anome/Archive 20#coord missing??. Is there a way to prevent the bot from repeating its mistake again and again? Thank you, -- -- -- 18:00, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes there is, and I'm working on it: please accept my apologies, and the bot is currently inactive until I fix this. Sorry for the glitch; this is part of bringing the bot back online after a big outage and data loss. — The Anome (talk) 19:11, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you; and I'm sorry to hear about the outage and data loss. -- -- -- 22:05, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! - the primary SSD and two separate backups all failed, for different reasons. Backup often! — The Anome (talk) 22:41, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Caves of Buckinghamshire indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 00:20, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

California county categories

Hi The Anome, glad to see the bot is back! It looks like the bot is set to add counties for California geocoordinate requests (example). However, these subcategories were deleted as no longer needed earlier this year, as the backlog has been reduced to almost nothing through the hard work of some editors. Could you adjust the bot so that it just leaves the articles in Category:California articles missing geocoordinate data and doesn't add counties? Many thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 07:35, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've just used the bot to take a look at its last 500 writes of county-level California coord-missing tags, and it looks like other editors have already cleaned things up. I've modified the bot scripts so it won't generate any more of these in the future. — The Anome (talk) 15:49, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I was going to let you know about the county-level categories having been deleted once I was done cleaning up redlinked categories, but when I came here to do that I saw that Pi had already let you know. Wasn't too many pages, thankfully; this run of WantedCategories was longer than usual, but the California county categories weren't the primary culprit in that, so it wasn't too big of a deal. Bearcat (talk) 15:59, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bearcat@The Anome: Thanks to both of you! Pi.1415926535 (talk) 17:57, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
