Blox is an American design and construction company that specializes in modular construction. It was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Bessemer, Alabama.

Overview

The company was founded by architect Chris Giattina in July 2010 as a spinoff from Giattina Aycock Architecture Studio.[1][2] Blox has headquarters in Bessemer, Alabama, at the former site of the Pullman Car & Manufacturing Corporation factory.[3][4][5][6]

Blox uses its Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) approach to simplify construction by integrating design, manufacturing, and construction into a singular process.[7][8]

The company specializes in modular construction of healthcare facilities[9][10] and has built healthcare facilities for Encompass Health, Walmart Health, and HCA.[11][12][13]

In 2019, Blox announced an investment from design and construction firm Haskell.[14] In 2021, Blox secured $40 million in funding from ASH Ventures.[15][16][17]
