The service hosted various popular anime series featured on Toonami, as well as music videos and game reviews. The service was only available in the United States. In order to support it, users were required to have Adobe Flash 8 player and Windows Media 10 player.[1] Jetstream did not support MacOS nor Firefox users until early 2007. [1][2]

Toonami's television block was canceled on September 20, 2008, but the service remained active after the cancellation. On January 30, 2009, Toonami Jetstream's site was permanently shut down.[3]

Availability of each series

Toonami Jetstream streamed five shows which could not be found anywhere else in their dubbed format at the time. These shows were The Prince of Tennis, Eye Shield 21, MÄR, Mega Man Star Force, and Kiba. Viz Media secured licensing rights for the initial four, while Kiba was licensed by ADV Films, primarily for distribution via DVD format. Mega Man Star Force made its debut on Toonami as a modified television feature on August 25, 2007. Prompted by substantial online acclaim garnered by titles such as The Prince of Tennis and MÄR, these series were integrated into the Toonami programming schedule on December 23, 2006. Still, Toonami Jetstream continued to televise English-language episodes, except for one MÄR episode that premiered on Toonami. However, in June 2007, The Prince of Tennis and MÄR was removed from the Toonami schedule, though a DVD release for them began. They were released on four 13-episode box sets and four 4-episode volumes. Mega Man Star Force has not been seen on Toonami since its edited TV movie and never had a DVD release. Only Eye Shield 21 has seen another release past 2010 in the United States, in four 13-episode subtitled-only DVD sets by Sentai Filmworks. However, all 145 episodes are available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Premiere episodes of Naruto have been aired on TV, and previous episodes were available on thirty-two edited DVD volumes and are now available on eight uncut DVD sets produced by Viz Media. The subtitled uncut episodes are also streaming on Crunchyroll. The episodes on Toonami Jetstream were repeats.

Dragon Ball Z, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Dragon Ball, Pokémon Chronicles, Megas XLR, and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo had already been aired completely on Cartoon Network. Whilst Samurai Jack had only aired a small portion of its episodes on Toonami, it had already aired completely on Cartoon Network. All four seasons of the show are available on DVD and a complete series set with the fifth season on Blu-ray by Warner Home Video.

Megas XLR aired on Toonami, except one episode which was initially skipped due to an error, later broadcast on Miguez. However, it never received a DVD release. Star Wars: Clone Wars and Dragon Ball Z completed their broadcast runs on Toonami and were made available on Blu-ray and DVD by Warner Home Video and Funimation, respectively. Dragon Ball also finished airing on Toonami and was released on DVD by Funimation. Both shows were accessible for streaming on FunimationNOW, with Dragon Ball offering free streaming. Pokémon Chronicles concluded its airing on Toonami, except for one episode which aired on Cartoon Network's regular schedule. Toonami Jetstream merely showcased reruns from the series' first episode onwards. However, a DVD release only occurred in Australia by Beyond Home Entertainment. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo finished airing, and two DVD volumes, each containing four episodes, were made available by Illumination Entertainment. Plans for a third volume release were scrapped due to the closure of the distributor, Westlake Entertainment. Subsequently, S'more Entertainment obtained licensing rights for a complete series release, dividing it into two sets comprising 38 episodes each, albeit without subtitles for the Japanese version. Discotek Media then acquired the series and intended to release the entire show with Japanese subtitles on SDBD.

Hikaru no Go was on ImaginAsian TV and was also available on DVD by Viz Media. It is currently unlicensed for any release as of 2018.

Pokémon aired for five seasons on Jetstream, the first being "The Johto Journeys". Episodes previously aired on Kids' WB! (first run) and Cartoon Network (reruns), and episodes that aired on Jetstream (reruns) are also available on DVD. The first episode to be aired was the Orange League episode "The Pokémon Water War." Jetstream also aired "Johto League Champions" episodes which originally aired on Kids' WB! and were later released on DVD, with only a select few airing on Cartoon Network during the Pokémon Master marathon. Jetstream has also aired "Master Quest" episodes that originally aired on Kids' WB! (first run), on Cartoon Network's now defunct Miguzi block (reruns), and that have since been released on DVD, as well as "Battle Frontier" episodes that originally aired on Cartoon Network's regular schedule (first run), with the first 14 having been rerun on Toonami. "Original Series" episodes aired previously on Kids' WB! (first run, though some aired in syndication first), Cartoon Network (reruns), and later aired on Jetstream (also reruns). All DVDs currently released for those seasons are produced by The Pokémon Company International and distributed by Viz Media.

One Piece aired reruns on Toonami, with the first 58 episodes having been aired on 4Kids TV prior to their Toonami premieres. The series was eventually removed and did not return to the site. 11 DVD volumes of the edited version were made available by Viz Media, and the series is no longer available for legal streaming in favor of Funimation's uncut dub which began DVD releases in 2008. The uncut version is currently streaming subbed on Crunchyroll and dubbed on FunimationNOW.

Zatch Bell! originally aired on Toonami but stopped airing after 77 episodes. It was later picked up for a DVD release by Viz Media. Later, the show was added to Toonami Jetstream. It is currently being distributed by New Video.

IGPX finished airing on Cartoon Network, with most of its run being on Toonami. It had uncut DVD volumes and edited DVD seasons produced by Bandai Entertainment from 2006 to 2007. In 2016, Discotek Media released the show on both edited and uncut forms on one DVD set, which is currently in print.

The anime MegaMan NT Warrior (which aired on Kids' WB! for most of its run) is believed to have been skipped in favor of Star Force. MegaMan NT Warrior was licensed by Viz Media.

Transformers: Animated is currently airing rerun episodes on television, though not on Toonami. The series had previously aired all of its existing episodes on Jetstream. Series DVDs were previously distributed by Paramount Home Media Distribution and are currently being distributed by Shout! Factory.

Blue Dragon previously aired Saturday mornings on Cartoon Network's regular schedule while Jetstream would air reruns, before world premiere English language episodes began airing on July 21, 2009, simultaneously with the series premier on Cartoon Network. It was licensed by Viz Media.

Storm Hawks aired its complete first season on Cartoon Network, with some episodes being aired on Jetstream. It is currently being distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The first two movies to air on Jetstream were Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow and Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone of Gelel.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece were removed from the site despite not being finished, speculated to be due to dubbing issues.

Promotions with the Toonami Block

The Toonami website began advertising the service on July 3, 2006. The first television promotional was during Cartoon Planet on July 9, 2006. The first Toonami promotional was on July 15, 2006, during a special Naruto marathon.
