Constant vandalism

[edit]

This article suffers constant vandalism with the addition of the sentence "In the city of Krabbendijke kaasstengels are additionally used as an alternative form of currency" in this edit, here, here, and here. I suggest this article should be temporarily protected. Gunkarta  talk  11:30, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dutch origin

[edit]

I have looked into Gunkarta his work on Wikipedia and it has become obvious that he tries to make as many articles as possible Indonesian. Kaasstengels originated in The Netherlands, the mere fact that they are also popular in Indonesia doesn't make them Indonesian. Pizzas are sold and loved worldwide, still everybody acknowledges them as Italian cuisine. Jan.Seulvees (talk) 19:32, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, it is of Dutch origin, I do not deny it. However, it has become very popular in Indonesia and it has become strongly associated with Indonesian holidays of lebaran and natal (christmas). In Indonesia we call it in a simplified spelling kastengel and part of kue kering (cookie) category, please do not remove the categories Indonesian snack foods and kue. Gunkarta  talk  16:31, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
