John Homewood's death was noted in an Association of Football Statisticians Report from 1988 or 1989. Unfortunately the precise issue or date is not available but hopefully this detail still proves useful.Alan Briscoe 23:17, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Alan - I knew you had got the info from somewhere reliable. However, I have tagged for citation of fact and included it in the Category for "Date of death missing" to try and attract an even more precise date from someone with a reliable source which we haven't come across yet.
