  • Comment: Still needs rewritten to be encyclopeadic. For example, what does this mean "In agreement with the Hong Kong companies Hanson Robotics and AngelVest, in August 2018, he interviewed the gynoid Sophia directly in the same laboratory where she was created". There is no dates on a lot of it, stuff starts in one bit and flows into other subject, leaving the reader at a loss. This "vCollects works of art, including works by Picasso, Chagall, Toulouse-Lautrec, Rodin, Modigliani, Dali, Warhol, etc" You never use etc on Wikipedia. If you don't have the information don't put it in. Half of it isunsourced. He is giving lecture's but doesn't say if he was an academic or when he was appointed. On top of all that it is stuff WP:PUFFed with outright promotion in it. It needs rewritten from scratch. scope_creepTalk 12:28, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Its totally promo after looking at for several weeks. It needs rewritten and has stream ofconciousness/tone issue going on. Its not in enyclopoeadic voice. scope_creepTalk 20:51, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

Mark Ginzburg (Template:Lang-ru, Template:Lang-uk; born 28 September 1956) is an American and Ukrainian businessman and public figure, the vice-president of the FC Dynamo Kyiv for innovation.[1] President of the Ukrainian Federation of Robotics.[2] Ambassador of the Global BlockChain Business Council (GBBC).[3]

Biography

He was born into a Jewish family. His father Zinoviy Meirovich Ginzburg and his mother Nina Borisovna Ginzburg. As a child he became interested in the martial art known as sambo that eventually led him to winning the All-Union Spartakiad among schoolchildren, later became a Master of Sports of the USSR [ru].[4] After graduating from secondary school No. 118 in 1973, he entered the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics. After finishing university studies he worked from 1979 to 1988 as an electrical engineer at the Artem Kyiv Machine-Building Plant [uk] and then as the Head of the launch-commissioning department of Minlegharchmash. In 1988, he and his family emigrated to the United States, where he worked as a taxi driver in New York City for three years.

Since the early 1990s, he has been involved in development activities in New York and Miami Beach, as well as investment activities in Ukraine. In 1992, he founded the American-Ukrainian enterprise construction holding "MTN", in 1996 he invested in the construction of a Poltava gas condensate processing plant, and in 2009 he founded the Ukrainian investment holding "UIH".[5] In 2007, after negotiations with Donald Trump, he tried to build a skyscraper on European Square designed by architect Norman Foster, but this was prevented by the global financial crisis.[6]

Since 2017, he has focused on the digitalization of Kyiv and the implementation of blockchain technologies at the state level (Kyiv Smart City [uk], state registers, state procurement, and the like), as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence.[7] In July 2017, he took part in the innovation summit organized by Richard Branson on Necker Island. On September 25 of the same year, he organized and carried out the sale of real estate for cryptocurrency using a smart contract and blockchain technology; the buyer of the apartment was the founder of the technology media company TechCrunch, Michael Arrington.[8] The agreement was concluded through the mediation of the international platform Propy, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the State Agency for Electronic Government of Ukraine [uk]. On May 18, 2018, he took part as a speaker at the annual TEDx conference held in Ulaanbaatar with the topic of the report “Eradicating corruption in the highest echelons of government using blockchain technology.”[9] In 2021, he organized and conducted NFT sales of tickets for football matches; this method subsequently became widespread among some football, basketball and ice hockey clubs.[10][11][12][13]

In October 2018 he organized gynoid Sofia's official visit to Ukraine.[14][15][16] As a result, on October 11, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman signed a memorandum of cooperation between the government of Ukraine and the Hong Kong companies Hanson Robotics and AngelVest regarding the development of robotics and artificial intelligence in Ukraine.[17] The next day, he participated in the finals of the All-Ukrainian competition of ideas and startups “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.”[18] The jury for this event included David Chen, CFO of Hanson Robotics and CEO of AngelVest, and gynoid robot Sophia. More than 400 teams and startups from all over Ukraine submitted applications for participation in the competition, and 12 finalists demonstrated a high level of international development. According to the unanimous opinion of the jury, 3 projects that met the high standards of Silicon Valley were selected as winners. In July of the same year, he was invited as a representative of the city of Kyiv to the forum of mayors of cities along the New Silk Road in Astana, Kazakhstan. In 2019, he was appointed Ambassador to Ukraine of the Global BlockChain Business Council (GBBC).[19]

In 2017, he was appointed President of the Federation of Robotics of Ukraine.[20] He gave lectures at Ukrainian universities, including Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv Institute of International Relations [uk], Odesa National Polytechnic University, Kyiv Cooperative Institute of Business and Law [uk], University of Banking [uk] and Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.[21][22][23][24][25] In May 2022, he noted that his son would perform a concert in the United States in support of the Kyiv hospital "Okhmatdyt".[26] The concert took place in New York, the proceeds from which went to the account of the aforementioned Ukrainian Center for the Protection of Mothers and Children.
