Get Sexy (Sugababes song)
[edit]Shall we get rid of the "(Sugababes song)" bit as we've no article called Get Sexy? 217.43.189.221 (talk) 17:47, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Speculation
[edit]A lot of this article is unreferenced speculation. It needs fixing now by citing reliable sources. Astronaut (talk) 20:09, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think that the line "The song has been met with generally positive reviews from critics and fans alike" really needs to be referenced, unless you think it's fit to use forums and blog comments from fans to prove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.33.11.239 (talk) 20:59, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- Professional critics would have published their reviews somewhere - so why not cite a couple of them. And the recently added "extremely positive review" attributed to Digital Spy needs a reference too. Whoever added that comment, read it somewhere and decided to add it here - why didn't they include the reference? Astronaut (talk) 00:32, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- There we are - I found the Digital Spy reference and added it in. It really isn't that difficult. Astronaut (talk) 00:47, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

The song was not really well received among fans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.33.11.239 (talk) 19:40, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
There's actually no proof that the song or its accompanying album are going to be released in the United States. I'm going to remove any statements that say so since there are no news sources that they will be. News reports have stated that the contract with Roc Nation was for working in the U.S., not necessarily a contract to release material stateside. Bulldoggie101 (talk) 23:45, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Sampling?
[edit]Can someone find a source for the oh-so obvious references to Right Said Fred's I'm Too Sexy and Gwen Stefani's Wind It Up? -LoveLaced (talk) 22:45, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
While it is obvious that the song uses lyrics from "I'm Too Sexy" I fail to see the connection to "Wind It Up." Bulldoggie101 (talk) 04:49, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm confusing some of my poptarts. The bridge of the song is musically similar to Gwen, but the line "You can look but you can't touch" is a line from Black Eyed Peas' My Humps, sung exactly the same way. There's so much sampling in this song, it's almost too hard to decipher it all. - LoveLaced (talk) 20:50, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
This does seem to be a complete rehash of older pop songs? Surely there needs to be something mentioned here to highlight this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.232.53.149 (talk) 19:00, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
We obviously can't write about every little similarity - I could sear I hear similarities to Tela Tequila's "Fuck Ya Man" in this track. I think the I'm Too Sexy thing is referenced, but I don't know what we can find for line drops, style drops, and even vocalization drops to expand. Medleystudios72 (talk) 16:17, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
