Dont change this page unless there is a serious mistake on it which there shouldn't be because I proof read it myself.

Redirection
Why, when I search Bernie, do I get this? Shouldn't there be a disambiguation page? I can think of several Bernie pages, Bernie Mac, Weekend at Bernie's, etc.
- I was wondering WTF, then I see it's just Talk:Bernie that ends up here. That does seem odd. All I can guess is that Bernie used to redirect here, probably set up by an old fan who recalls the "Bernie" chants. Or somebody set up the redirect on the talk page rather than the main article. Let me see if I can break the redirect.--J Clear 01:14, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think I did the right thing. I broke the Talk:Bernie redirect, after finding nothing linked there. Also flagged it for speedy deletion based on having no article. I wonder how speedy it is.--J Clear 01:28, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Eye Injury
There should be more on that. Anything that ends a players career should have at least a couple sentences, if not paragraph. I might write something up later (even though I'm a Devils fan lol) and post it here to get it approved...but it doesn't seem many people come here so I might just add it myself. If someone else can write something, feel free to do it instead of me. Bsroiaadn 23:35, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Parenttime.jpg
Image:Parenttime.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cleaning up of text on the professional hockey career of Bernie Parent
I deleted material relating to the Flyers after Parent was traded. It seems to me that the article should stick to the subject and refrain from excessive material of minor relevance to the subject of the article. What happened to the Flyer team after Parent was traded until he returned has little to do with Parent himself. The important thing was that Parent's term in Toronto with Jacques Plante made him a better goalie, which became evident when he returned for the 1973-74 season.
Another thing I find troublesome here is that the pictures of Parent during his playing career have been removed and replaced with current shots. While the picture of Parent playing in the outdoor winter alumni game is of interest, it is not representative of what the man looked like during his prime years in the NHL. I would like to see an original picture of Parent circa 1974 or 1975 returned to the subject box in the upper right. I do not know how to do this so I'm hoping some other editor will help me out. The Time magazine cover would make an excellent addition to this article, as well as other shots from Parent's time with the Bruins, Leafs, Blazers or his first tour with the Flyers(he wore #30). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helmut Hedd (talk • contribs) 05:09, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not sure what image you are referring to. Before the addition of the Winter Classic pics there were no images on the page. If you are aware of any properly licensed non-copy righted pictures from his playing days please add them.--Mo Rock...Monstrous (leech44) 05:59, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- I added the two new images of Bernie which I took while covering the Winter Classic last weekend and am thus free to license them as I own the copyright. There were no images at all in the article when I added them and I suspect that the TIME cover and other images that are said to have been there earlier were removed because they were all still under copyright and therefore unusable as non-free. I made a further correction on a factual inaccuracy regarding when Parent signed with the WHA. He signed with Miami around mid-season while with the Leafs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helmut Hedd (talk • contribs) 18:45, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Deletion of comments about the end of the stand-up goalies
I deleted the comment about stand-up goalies for two reasons. First the comment was basically an opinion. Secondly, it did not relate to Parent directly. Parent left the sport due to an eye injury, not because he stopped being effective at stopping shots.
