Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
The protagonists of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series are Naruto and Hinata's son Boruto Uzumaki,Sarada Uchiha, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru Sarutobi who form "Team 7" (第7班, Dainanahan) of Konohagakure. form "Team Konohamaru" (木ノ葉丸班, Konohamaru-Han). Prior to their series, Konohamaru was a supporting character in the Naruto series while Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki were introduced in the Naruto epilogue.
Boruto Uzumaki (うずまきボルト, Uzumaki Boruto) (japanese voice by Yūko Sanpei) (American voice by Amanda C. Miller ) is a shinobi from Konohagakure's Uzumaki Clan and a direct descendant of the Hyūga clan through his mother. Initially nonchalant in his duties as a member of Team 7 and resentful of his father and the office of Hokage because it left him with no time for his family; Boruto eventually comes to respect and reconcile with his father and his role as Hokage, yet vows to become like his mentor Sasuke Uchiha a support system,shadow for the Hokage and the village.
Kawaki (うずまきカワキ, Uzumaki Kawaki) (japanese voice by Yuma Uchida ) (American voice by Michael Schwalbe) is a shinobi raised by Jigen and his organization Kara to be the future vessel for Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. After being brought to Konohagakure, he is taken in by Naruto Uzumaki and develops a brotherly bond with Boruto Uzumaki. Kawaki was seen to be passed out by Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru. Boruto later sees his Karma seal on his hand, and he finds out it's the same one he has. Several minutes later, an outer of the organization called Kara named Garo appeared and Kawaki fights him using his power.
Sarada Uchiha (うちはサラダ, Uchiha Sarada) (japanese voice by Kokoro Kikuchi ) (American voice by Cherami Leigh) is a kunoichi from Konohagakure's Uchiha Clan. Because she was raised only by her mother without having her father around, Sarada initially struggles to understand who she is or what she's supposed to be. After meeting him with the help of Naruto Uzumaki, Sarada learns that she is defined by the connections she has with others, and as a member of Team 7, she seeks to someday become Hokage so that she can connect with as many people as possible.
Mitsuki (ミツキ, Mitsuki) (japanese voice by Ryuichi Kijima ) (American voice by Robbie Daymond ) is a synthetic human who is a Konohagakure shinobi and a member of Team 7.Mitsuki was created as a synthetic human by Orochimaru, being cultivated from the same embryo as at least one older "Mitsuki". Just like his "brother", Mitsuki was named after "Tsuki" (杯, meaning: Vessel) and the sixth sign of the Chinese zodiac calendar, "Mi" (巳, meaning: Snake). Orochimaru, as Mitsuki's "parent", wanted Mitsuki to find his independence, having concocted a complex plot for Mitsuki to do so.
Konohamaru Sarutobi (猿飛 木ノ葉丸 Sarutobi Konohamaru) (japanese voice by Hidenori Takahashi ) (American voice by Max Mittelman ) is the grandson of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. He is a jounin level shinobi and the leader of Team Konohamaru. His skills were held in high regard by Shino Aburame. He taught Boruto Uzumaki the rasengan which he learned from his mentor Naruto Uzumaki. Konohamaru was born into the Sarutobi clan and was named after Konoha by his grandfather. While being raised by his Anbu parents, Konohamaru was never referred to by his name by the villagers, only ever called "Honourable Grandson" because of his relationship to the Hokage. Wanting to be acknowledged as a person and not simply the Hokage's grandson, Konohamaru began trying to defeat Hiruzen in order to replace him as Hokage.

Team 10
Shikadai Nara (奈良シカダイ, Nara Shikadai) (japanese voice by Kensho Ono ) (American voice by Todd Haberkorn) is a genin from Konohagakure's Nara clan and a member of Team Moegi. Together with his teammates Chōchō Akimichi and Inojin Yamanaka, he forms the seventeenth generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio. Shikadai is the only child of Temari and Shikamaru Nara. Shortly after his birth, Shikamaru took notice of Shikadai's cry and suggested that the infant would be better off exploring the world with his friends.
Inojin Yamanaka (山中いのじん, Yamanaka Inojin) (japanese voice by Atsushi Abe ) (American voice by Spike Spencer) is a genin and a member of Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan. Together with his teammates Chōchō Akimichi and Shikadai Nara, he forms the seventeenth generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio. Inojin is the only child of Sai and Ino Yamanaka. As his parents continued to stay close to their childhood friends over the years, Inojin ultimately came to know the various parents' respective kids well. On the day of the Seventh Hokage's inauguration, he watched the ceremony with his parents and Shikadai.
Cho-Cho Akimichi (チョウチョウ, Akimichi Chōchō) (japanese voice by Ryoko Shiraishi ) (American voice by Colleen O'Shaughnessey ) is a kunoichi and a member of Konohagakure's Akimichi Clan. Together with her teammates Inojin Yamanaka and Shikadai Nara, she forms the seventeenth generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio. Cho-Cho is the only child of Karui and Chōji Akimichi. As her parents continued to stay close to their childhood friends over the years, Cho-Cho ultimately came to know the various parents' respective kids well. In the anime, when she was younger, Cho-Cho had very high fever. Her parents worked earnestly to get a special medicine for her, which caused Chōji trim down so much that Cho-Cho didn't recognise him, making her have lingering doubts about her parents.
Moegi Kazamatsuri (モエギ, Moegi) (japanese voice by Noriko Shitaya ) (American voice by Wendee Lee) is a kunoichi of Konohagakure. In the anime, ten years after the Fourth Shinobi World War, Moegi became an instructor at the Academy. She is quite optimistic, free spirited and very confident. She has been described as being spoiled and determined. Leader of team 10.
Team 5
Metal Lee (japanese voice by Ryo Nishitani ) (American voice by Billy Kametz ) is a genin of Konohagakure's Lee clan. Metal is a hot-blooded and dedicated shinobi, much like his father Rock Lee, who he has sincere respect for, and his father's sensei Might Guy. This was exemplified when he was seen participating in his father's gruesome training regime. At the same time, Lee seems to suffer from social-anxiety, always worrying about people's views of him and wanting to impress others. He also seems to have stage-fright, as when too many people watch him, he locks up and becomes unable to move or perform properly.
Iwabee Yuino (結乃イワベエ, Yuino Iwabee) (japanese voice by Shinya Hamazoe ) (American voice by Ray Chase ) is a Konohagakure Academy student. While a standout during his entire time enrolled in the Academy, his poor academic test grades lead him to be held back repeatedly. Valuing strength above all else, Iwabee shows a very blunt and domineering attitude, openly proclaiming that strong people can do as they please. While raised in an era of peace, he admires the warring era, believing its constant struggles were the key to forging mighty ninja. He has shown a strong admiration of Naruto Uzumaki
Denki Kaminarimon (雷門デンキ, Kaminarimon Denki) (japanese voice by Chihiro Ikki ) (American voice by Erica Mendez) is a Konohagakure chūnin, and the heir to the Kaminarimon Company. He is a current leader of Team 5. Denki is a rather shy boy and he is not able to stand up for himself. Denki says that he wants to stand up to his father so he can study and become what he wants. His personality later changes when he is bitten by a shadowy figure which causes him to try to kill the gang of boys that were bullying him. Denki soon snaps out of it and helps Boruto Uzumaki bring an end to what he has caused. Denki becomes more confident in himself after the event when he joins the Academy.
Udon Ise (japanese voice by Ikuji Nose ) (American voice by Edward Bosco) is a shinobi of Konohagakure, and a former member of Team Ebisu. As an adult, he is a very collected and straight-forward man who is shown to be keen minded and perceptive. As a teacher, he has a strict but fair teaching style and is not above punishing his students for making mistakes that could have cost them dearly. Overall, his students view him as "cool", and were surprised to hear how awkward he was as a child.
Team 15
Sumire Kakei (筧スミレ, Kakei Sumire), born Sumire Shigaraki (信楽スミレ, Shigaraki Sumire), (japanese voice by Chihiro Ikki ) (American voice by Erica Lindbeck ) is a kunoichi of Konohagakure's Scientific Ninja Weapons Team and a former member of Team 15. She was also the Class Representative of Boruto's Class in the Ninja Academy. While under the guise of "Sumire Kakei", she was a rather meek and quiet girl who, like many children her age, adored the Seventh Hokage. While not very outspoken, Sumire showed genuine concern for her classmates. Sumire was also very respectful and dutiful, and wished to avoid conflict if necessary. Her reason for wanting to become a shinobi was to live up to her father's memory.
Wasabi Izuno (伊豆野ワサビ, Izuno Wasabi) (japanese voice by Natsumi Yamada ) (American voice byCassandra Lee Morris ) is an Academy Student of Konohagakure. Along with Sumire Kakei and Namida Suzumeno , Wasabi was injured from a man possessed by the dark mysterious chakra while working at a water purification plant.
Namida Suzumeno (雀乃なみだ, Suzumeno Namida) (japanese voice by Sara Matsumoto ) (American voice by Tara Sands) is an academy student from Konohagakure. Later, her class was assigned from Shino to shadow a non-shinobi workplace to better understand the non-shinobi lifestyle.
Hanabi Hyuga (日向ハナビ, Hyūga Hanabi) (japanese voice by Kiyomi Asai ) (American voice by Colleen O'Shaughnessey ) is a kunoichi of Konohagakure and the heiress of the Hyūga Clan. She is the daughter of Hiashi Hyūga and the younger sister of Hinata Uzumaki, as well as the aunt of Boruto and Himawari Uzumaki. She is Team 15's leader.
Team 25
Hōki Taketori (竹取ホウキ, Taketori Hōki) (japanese voice by Katsunori Okai ) (American voice by Christopher Swindle) is a chūnin of Team 25, that has joined Konohagakure's Anbu. Hōki is a zealous individual who admires Kakashi Hatake greatly, and wishes to follow in his footsteps. While extremely dedicated to his missions, Hōki can be overconfident and irritable when in command. At the same time, he is not without insecurities, showing noticeable stress at failing. He is also shown to be a good sport in competition, not bragging or mocking his defeated opponent upon winning.
Hako Kuroi (黒衣ハコ, Kuroi Hako) (japanese voice by Aoi Inase) (American voice by Erica Lindbeck) is a genin from Team 25, that has joined Konohagakure's Anbu. Hako is a very straight-forward person with a melancholic demeanour. She is very free and open with her opinions and likewise can be very blunt. Along with this direct nature, she is extremely perceptive, able to notice the smallest of details from a quick observation. From this, she can quickly discern the nature of person and their life to make correct conclusions on situations at hand. She seems to be very attached to her rabbit plushie, carrying it around regularly and decorating it with her Konoha forehead protector.
Renga Kokubō (国防レンガ, Kokubō Renga) (japanese voice by Yo Tokinaga) (American voice by Mick Wingert) is a genin from Team 25, that has joined Konohagakure's Anbu. Renga is a very hard-working individual, willing to take on large amounts of work at a time.
Sai Yamanaka (山中サイ, Yamanaka Sai) (japanese voice by Satoshi Hino) (American voice by Benjamin Diskin) is the Anbu Chief of Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan. Prior to this, he was a Root member. As per standard Root training, Sai was conditioned to remove all emotions and as such, had difficulty connecting with others. When he is added to Team Kakashi as a replacement for the rogue Sasuke Uchiha, Sai begins to learn more about people's feelings and tries to develop his personality and identity by forming genuine bonds and rediscovering the emotions he was taught to suppress. Sai eventually married Ino Yamanaka and took on the Yamanaka name. At some point, he became the director of Konoha's Anbu and leader of team 25.
Team 40
Enko Onikuma (鬼熊えんこ, Onikuma Enko) (japanese voice by Kumi Takaragi) (American voice by Erica Lindbeck) is a genin from Konohagakure's Onikuma Clan. She is a member of Team 40. Enko is a very kind and friendly person. Like many of her female classmates, she is interested in attractive boys. Since obtaining her clan's secret technique, she has become very insecure about its appearance, worried that people will fear her and keep their distance from her, truly treasuring any lasting friendships she gets.
Dōshu Goetsu (呉越ドウシュ, Goetsu Dōshu) (japanese voice by Kazuki Ota) (American voice by Christopher Swindle) is a genin of Konohagakure. He is a member of Team 40. Dōshu is a very responsible boy and loyal to his friends. While still in the Academy, Dōshu became very capable in fūinjutsu and Cooperation Ninjutsu. With the former, he can restrict a person's movements and with both he can expand the might of this alongside fellow users. During missions, he uses ring-like restraints he can deploy from a distance. He is also very accurate with a blowgun. Sometime after becoming a genin, he was also trained in medical ninjutsu.
Tsuru Itoi (糸井つる, Itoi Tsuru) (japanese voice by Mariko Higashiuchi) (American voice by Tara Sands) is a genin of Konohagakure. She is a member of Team 40. Tsuru is a calm and responsible girl. At the same time, she has an interest for attractive boys and a fondness for cute animals. While still in the Academy, Tsuru became very capable in fūinjutsu and Cooperation Ninjutsu. With the former, she can restrict a person's movements and with both she can expand the might of this alongside fellow users. She is also able to extend her hair in order to restrain targets.
Ibiki Morino (森乃イビキ, Morino Ibiki) (japanese voice by Taiten Kusunoki ) (American voice by Kim Strauss) is a tokubetsu jōnin of Konohagakure and the commanding officer of the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force. Ibiki is a very strict person, and has even been described as being a sadist by Kakashi Hatake. Compounded with this is his belief that pain is an effective form of communication, which he employed whenever he carries out his duties of torture and interrogation. Team leader of Team 40.
