The Council of Fashion Designers of America is a non-profit trade group for American fashion designers founded in 1962.

The organization sponsors the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, scholarships, and professional development programs, as well as awards for fashion design.

Awards

The CFDA's annual awards honor excellence in fashion design. Nominations are submitted by CFDA members and by select fashion publications, retailers, and stylists. Award winners are voted on and announced at the annual CFDA Fashion Awards gala event.
